Basements And The Horrors They Bring

My friend bought a new home and was enjoying the additional space she was given fit all of her junk and her big family. The thing that she loved the most about it was the basement. Though it wasn’t finished she saw the potential in it. In the close future it would become a toy room or a place for her exercise equipment.

What she did not foresee was the amount of mold that the basement would be suffering from. She did not try to have it inspected before she bought the house and only realized there was a problem when she tried store boxes inside of it. In a niche of the room she saw something that looked black and fuzzy extending a portion of the wall.

She instantly called a professional to come to her house and appraise the damage and decide on the next best course of action. That one minute patch was nothing to manage. Unluckily, the mold had extended to the majority of the walls and ceiling.

The trouble with something such as this is that if it has been left unbridled it will grow quickly and it is able to severely damage your health including that of youngsters. The only thing to do was to hire somebody to remove it all. This would cost a great deal of money and they would spend an even greater amount to repair the leaks that had caused the problem to begin with.

A year later the mold smell was gone and the new toy room looks spectacular. However, I have learned a noteworthy lesson from my friend and will never underestimate the ability of a good inspection.
